Dianna Martin, one of Wedgeworth’s daughters, confirmed the news toThe Hollywood Reporteron Saturday.

Wedgeworth passed away in a nursing home surrounded by her family.

She is survived by Martin, husband Ernie Martin, and daughter Danae Torn.

Over the course of her extended career, the actress enjoyed roles across television, film, and theater.

She won a Tony award for her performance in Neil Simon’sChapter Two.

Then they abruptly dropped her option.

“It was horrifying,” she toldPEOPLEin a 1980 interview.

“I had no warning or explanation.

Suddenly everyone was very cold to me.

I went to tell John [Ritter] goodbye, and he was shocked no one had told him.

Joyce DeWitt, at least, called to say something to me about it.”

Prior to her stint onThree’s Company, Wedgeworth notably appeared opposite Gene Hackman and Al Pacino in 1973’sScarecrow.
