The question remains: Has Oliver really given up his vigilante life?

EW sat down with Amell to get the scoop.
ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: Oliver actually gives up the mantle of being the Green Arrow.
Can you talk about how that might affect him moving forward?
You say him giving up the mantle is the game changer, but William is the game changer.
The father-son dynamic cant possibly cant get any stronger than that.
I give it to him expecting him to be able to handle it.
I like the idea that I give it to him because the city needs a Green Arrow, right?
The Green Arrow can be more than one person.
The Green Arrow is a symbol and his team is a symbol.
What was the point of it happening if it doesnt have consequences?
So I like that hes given the mantle to Diggle and thats been the show since then.
That, to me, is really cool.
Realistically, do you see Oliver really never suiting up again?No.
Look, I remember one season of24when Jack Bauer had been taken prisoner, Jack was in China.
Theyre like, Well, how long of this season is Jack going to be in China for?
and the producers were like, Hes landing like six minutes after it starts.
The show is the show.
Our shows the show, but that doesnt mean that we cant surprise people.
Its in an episode called Reversal.
He does have to hop back in, but other than the occasional visit, hes out.
Because of his 10 years of experience, how do you think Oliver is a different leader this year?
Its really different, its been an adjustment for me.
Oliver and Felicity are on the road to reconciling.
What can you tease of what their relationship looks like this season?It looks good.
But there are flickers.
Theres a dynamic that cannot be ignored with William.
So were playing real cat and mouse, but I havent really dealt with her since.
What I like is, shes starting to poke at other people on his team.
Shes on absolutely everybody.
