The then-21-year-old told EW he planned to take a break from acting at the time.

“I’ve been acting since age 8.

I just stopped enjoying it as much as I used to,” said the media-shy performer.

“When you make a living from something, it changes your relationship with it.

It’s not like I hate it, it’s just not what I want to do.”

While he considered becoming a scholar, Gleeson said the lifestyle was too “lonely and isolated.”

Gleeson’s last film role came in 2010, and since departingThrones,Gleeson hasn’t appeared on TV.
