Kathie Lee Gifford pays tribute to Regis Philbin: 'We never had one cross word'

Philbin’s longtime co-host and friend shared her memory of their last visit before his death.

This weekend, TV lost an icon with thedeath of Regis Philbinat the age of 88.

We laughed ourselves sick.

We always just picked up right where we left off, she remembered fondly.

We had no intentions of becoming bigger than that.

We werent trying to do that!

We were just being who we were!

We had the same sense of humor.

And I wasnt afraid of him and he sure as heck was not afraid of me.

And we just took off like a rocket, she remembered.

You know, in all the years we were together, we never had one cross word.

She said, I was so worried about him, Gifford shared.
