Kamala was created by writerG.

Willow Wilson, artist Adrian Alphona, and editors Stephen Wacker and Sana Amanat.

Since her debut, the monthlyMs.

But all good things must come to an end.

EW can exclusively reveal that next year the currentMs.

Marvelseries will end, and Wilson will end her writing tenure on the character.

I wanted to leave on a high note.

But Ahmed says hes particularly excited to now be writing the real Kamala.

To be given stewardship of that is a big deal to me, Ahmed tells EW.

Its always thrilling being given responsibility over a beloved character.

Its particularly meaningful for me to be taking over from Willow.

Shes an incredible writer, and shes a friend.

Shes my sister, and its very cool to be taking the baton from her.

Theres something meaningful there.

I think that Kamalas earned her superlative.

Shes been around for a few years and shes been magnificent.

We kind of wanted to announce that this was her leveling up as she would probably put it.

Its not gritty Ms. Marvel, but its darker and more atmospheric.
