NBC's Fall schedule, night by night: Can you get a bigger audience by combining Playboy bunnies with 'Parenthood'?

I know: Quality programming and two hours ofThe Biggest Loser are not compatible phrases.

But Greenblatts gotta start somewhere.

But what is that identity?

Based on its new shows, NBC wants to do interesting work in mostly familiar genres.

Tuesday: Two hours ofBiggest Loserfollowed byParenthood.

(30 Rockwill hold until mid-season and then air uninterrupted.)

Some are already sayingWhitneyis a jarring fit with those other sitcoms, what with its multi-camera, studio-audience laughs.

(You cant tell me some viewers arent ready for a respite from the deadpan, faux-documentary style sitcom.

(Uh,The Office, right?)

And that issue has been rather assiduously covered since the firstPrime Suspectpremiered in 1991.

Supernatural detectives on Fridays at 9 p.m.?

Hmmm, havent I seen this on, oh,Supernatural?

(ABC is also trying it, withOnce Upon A Time.)

But sinceGrimmcomes fromAngels David Greenwalt, maybe it has a creative shot.

Theres nothing new from NBC on the weekend this fall.
