Rick Springfieldis finally getting his wish.
But it’s a far cry from the dream girl he expected.
“Has anyone ever written a sequel to another artists song?
I dont think so.”
Coheed and Cambria vocalist and guitarist Claudio Sanchez said in a statement.
“As a fan of movies, it just seemed like a really interesting idea.”
The result is what Sanchez described as “aNational Lampoonsmovie meetsSo I Married an Axe Murderer.”
Because why not make it a 1980s power-pop extravaganza?!
“Jessie’s Girl 2” isavailable for pre-orderon a 7-inch vinyl release, which will debut Sept. 4.
