See Mark Ruffalo and Mark Ruffalo as twin brothers in new HBO limited series

Not to be outdone by his Marvel movie co-starPaul Rudd, who took on two roles in NetflixsLiving With Yourself,Mark Ruffalois pulling double duty this year in HBOs miniseriesI Know This Much Is True.

The first batch of photos debuted on Wednesday, timed to the home box office networks Television Critics Association presentations.

Ruffalo, who last appeared on the big screen in Todd HaynesDark Waters, can be seen playing two very different but identical twin brothers Dominick and Thomas Birdsey.

The six-part series, written and directed by Derek Cianfrance (The Place Beyond the Pines), takes viewers to different points in the brothers lives to tell a moving tale about betrayal, sacrifice, and forgiveness.

The story is based on authorWally Lambs bookI Know This Much Is True: A Novel (P.S.).
