For many of us, the race division was a non-issue, says Cecilia Mansilla.
That never made it to TV although it would have been cool to see.
(Having been there myself, I can back up this account.)

ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: First off, give the update as to what youve been up to since appearing onSurvivor.
CECILIA MANSILLA:Ive been very busy adulting.
Immediately after the show, I went back to Oakland and my career as a management consultant.
What is your proudest moment ever from playingSurvivor?
I went into it knowing that it was gonna be the experience of a lifetime.
It wasnt about winning some money, but about a priceless experience.
What is your biggest regret from yourSurvivorexperience?
Id say it would be not talking to Flicka and Cao Boi directly about flipping their vote.
When I sensed them flipping, I wasnt yet fully comfortable confronting them 1:1.
I should have just spoken to them both directly, even at Tribal.
For many of us, the race division was a non-issue.
That never made it to TV although it would have been cool to see.
How do you feel about the edit you got on the show?
I feel it was a non-edit, and that is fine.
What was it like coming back to regular society after being out there?
Was there culture shock or an adjustment coming back?
It was a bit of a trip.
One of the things that I realized from the experience is that we dont need much to survive.
People in the United Stated generally live a life of excess and overconsumption.
Completely unnecessary and pointless.
I went for months where I only bought the base essentials.
Whom do you still talk, text, or email with the most from your season?
I am in most contact with JP.
I was in very close contact with Flicka for a while we had a lot of adventures together.
We went to Burning Man together with Ozzy as well.
And another year I went with Ozzy and my friends.
I have a special place in my heart for Stephannie and Sekou.
The folks from the non-jury trip all got very close.
Five of us even got tattoos by the same artist.
Do you still watchSurvivor, and if so, whats your favorite season you were not on and why?
I didnt watch it before either.
It became too much.
Im sure other players will tell you that the game stays with you for years after it.
Whos one player from anotherSurvivorseason you wish you could have played with or against and why?
If you could make one change to any aspect ofSurvivor, what would it be and why?
Make it last longer in real life.
Finally, would you play again if asked?
