I didnt kill anyone.

Yeah, well see how long that lasts after a week of prison rations.

Before you know it, the trial of Barry Allen is underway.

In his opening statements, prosecutor Anton Slater (Mark Valley) claims that Barry wears a mask.

That is a special kind of evil and Barrys skin cells under DeVoes nails.

Singh reluctantly testifies that he found Barry standing over DeVoes body.

Under Ceciles cross exam, he says he hired Barry because Barry wanted to help the innocent.

Allen is one of the good ones, Singh insists.

Um, if tardiness makes someone a murderer, lock me up.

That is not the logical leap Id make, but okay.

Man, hes a difficult client.

She slips in a tearful my husband has…had… and plays up her grief to the judge.

Its truly a masterful performance.

Ah, but Joes been doing some work behind the scenes.

Their skulking outside of the DeVoe manse nets them a photo of Marlize kissing a strange man.

DeVoe-in-Dominic (DeVoenic?)

urges her to look past his body and see Clifford.

Hence, the kissing.

See, this is why lawyers should never ask witnesses a question they dont already know the answer to!

When Marlize leaves the courtroom, Iris follows her out and tells her to drop the act.

Its dazzlingly romantic, but at the same time, revealing Barrys identity issoooonot Iris decision to make.

Not cool, Mrs. West-Allen.

Then hes back in his seat, and Iris is stuck stammering out, Barry Allen is innocent!

Im boggled that the judge didnt hold her in contempt for that outburst.

Then Ralph opens the door with his stretchy finger and wishes Joe luck.

I know Ralphs been a divisive character this season, but what a fantastic moment.

The judge blusters, but Cecile says theres no law requiring Barry to be present for closing arguments.

The judge warns Barry that hes required to be back for sentencing.

Soooo the judge assumes that Barry will be found guilty and require sentencing?

Im not a lawyer, but can you say mistrial?

Neil Borman, a.k.a.

Fallout, doesnt know hes been doing it, and hes about to go nuclear literally.

But he melts it and blasts her away.

But why was Cisco not also burned?

But hes still got a chin-up attitude and tells his team, That doesnt mean that DeVoe beat us.

I…think it does, Bare.

Ill be strong for you.

Then Barry spots DeVoenic stepping through a door next to the courtroom and follows him in.

Barry warns that hes going to figure a way out of this and will come for him.

At his sentencing, Barry speaks the words from his Speed Force return: Your honor, Im innocent.

I didnt do this.

I didnt kill anyone.

Before delivering the sentence, the judge pontificates about Barrys awfulness for betraying the citys trust.

Meanwhile, Singh gives a press conference praising the Flashs selflessness in saving the city.

And then we cut to Iron Heights Penitentiary, where Barrys escorted to his cell in chains.

He takes a seat on his cot and spots graffiti on the wall: HENRY ALLEN WAS HERE.

Barrys rock is with him, even as he hits rock bottom.
