It’s been an incredible 15 year run and the most unexpected gift of my career.
I’m grateful for that and for the lifelong friendships made.
That said, now what am I supposed to do with all of these glitter masks?”
ABC not only confirmed his departure but said Bergeron’s co-host Erin Andrews is leaving, too.
Erin will also not be returning, and we appreciate all that she brought to the ballroom.
ABC is moving ahead with a 29th season this fall on Mondays.
“I’m shaking!
“Chris, I feel like I’m going to cry!”
But why do another season without Bergeron?
One source close to the show told EW, “The show needs a punch in the arm.”
Bergeron has been a fixture on the competition show since it launched June 1, 2005.
Recently, Bergeron spread his wings and participated in a competing reality show on Fox.
He was the Taco onThe Masked Singer!
FormerDWTSEP Izzie Pick Ashcroft recruited him to join the show in its third season.
And I thought, why the hell not?”
