President Donald Trump said he wasnot at all surprisedby sexual harassment allegations brought against embattled Hollywood mogul Harvey Weinstein.

Weinsteins then-lawyer Lisa Bloom said the producer denies many of the accusations as patently false.

(Bloom stepped down as Weinsteins counsel on Saturday.)

In another statement, Weinsteins lawyer Charles Harder said the producer is preparing a lawsuit against theTimes.

The New York Timespublished today a story that is saturated with false and defamatory statements about Harvey Weinstein.

We sent the Times the facts and evidence, but they ignored it and rushed to publish.

We are preparing the lawsuit now.

All proceeds will be donated to womens organizations.

Weinstein himself apologized for the way Ive behaved with colleagues in the past.

That was the culture then, Weinstein said.

I have since learned its not an excuse, in the office or out of it.

The allegations… are deeply troubling, the DNC saidin a statement.

The Democratic Party condemns all forms of sexual harassment and assault.

(Weinstein had contributed more than $295,000 to the DNC.)

Earlier this year, Trump defended former Fox News host Bill OReilly against allegations of sexual harassment.

I think he shouldnt have settled; personally I think he shouldnt have settled,Trump said in April.

Because you should have taken it all the way.

I dont think Bill did anything wrong.

I think hes a person I know well he is a good person.
