But it was a really gratifying project.
It was when she said, I just want to be as happy as I can be.

That was moving to me as well.
Creative license wasnt taken at all.

It was such an incredible story that it didnt need any enhancing.
To me, that meant being truthful to the experience of everyone involved.
And then also right alongside that was how we depicted sexual violence was really important.

But Im really pleased; its not an easy conversation.
Its a conversation weve been avoiding having for a really long time.
Im really impressed that people are embracing it and being willing to engage with difficult subjects.
Im impressed with where our culture is going on that level.
We were well into fully committed to telling this before this cultural moment hit.
I do think the audience and the conversation is different.
